Dr Ang Por graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1991 and received her MRCP (UK) in 1996. She trained in internal medicine in Singapore and subsequently dermatology at the National Skin Centre, Singapore. Upon receiving her specialist accreditation in dermatology, she underwent further training in skin cancers, skin surgery, lasers and aesthetic dermatology. She did her fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and skin cancer surgery at the St John's Institute of Dermatology, London.

Before setting up private practice at Dermatology Associates, she was the Chief of the Dermatological Surgery and Laser Unit in National Skin Centre (NSC), performing skin cancer surgery, dermasurgical procedures and lasers. While in NSC, she was also actively involved in research and education, and was also a clinical tutor in dermatology for the National University of Singapore. She is an active member of the Dermatological Society of Singapore, the Chapter of Dermatology, College of Physicians (Singapore), Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapre (Dermatology), the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery.
